My Story…
Olivia and I can’t wait to be volunteering at the event August 18th! If you can’t make it out for the event, there are other ways to support (and you could even win!). 50/50, golf ball drop and an air Canada draw! Any support is appreciated and you could also just directly donate to YANA Comox Valley any day of the year via their website! I had to stay in Nanaimo for 3 weeks prior to Olivia’s birth, they put us up in a hotel close to the hospital no questions asked. The process of dealing with the ladies running the organization was so easy and completely stress free. 3 nights for a family to stay in Nanaimo is $500. We had 21 days in Nanaimo. We are forever grateful for such an organization and would love nothing more than to see my friends and family help me give back to them! I cant wait to tell Olivia about YANA by continuing to spread the word and volunteering when I can for their events & fundraisers!!!
Description
Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 4 night stay at Jeneece Place, Victoria
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$500 = 3 nights Nanaimo hotel accommodation
$1350 = 1 month medical travel expense funding
