Volunteer details
Volunteer at the Seattle Kids Marathon
Date: Saturday November 30, 2024
Location: Seattle Center Exhibition Hall
301 Mercer St, Seattle, WA 98109
There is a role for everyone and you can invite your friends, no experience necessary! Whether you sign up as a course monitor, registration, bib pick up or finish line support you will earn unfailing gratitude from our participants, families and SMA staff.
Kids Day-of-Race Registration/Bib Pickup
Shift Time: 6:30am -9:30am
The race day package pickup volunteer will be responsible for passing out participant shirts & bibs the day of the race and helping set up/take down registration area.
Kids Victory Recovery Area/Post Race Festival
Shift Time: 7:00am - 11:30am
VRA/Festival volunteers will be stationed at booths to hand out refreshments, books, temporary tattoos, coloring contest and games.
Course Monitors
Shift Time: 8:15am - 9:30am
Course Monitor will be responsible for remaining near the course to keep participants on the course and offering them encouragement.
Kids Course Setup
Shift Time: 7:00am - 9:00am
Help SMA staff set up start/finish line and course
Kids Marathon Cleanup
Shift Time: 9:00am - 11:00am
Help SMA staff tear down and clean up start/finish line and course
Finish Line & Medals
Shift Time: 8:30am - 9:30pm
Finish line volunteers will be responsible for cheering on participants as they approach the finish line, handing out medals, and directing runners towards the vendor area for refreshments and post event festivities
