Transport Volunteers

Spay It Forward picks up pups from all over Texas. Various shelters and owner surrenders.

We transport these pups to new owners, other rescues and fosters. If you are planning a trip to San Antonio or Dallas or Corpus, you never know, we just may need a pup picked up or taken to their Fur Ever home.

Dog Walkers

Sometimes we just need someone to give our pups some Tender Loving care. Walk the Dog sit for a day or a weekend. Socializing is very important in a dog’s life.

What about food and medical care?

Spay It Forward will provide all necessary food and medication if needed. We may ask that you use a specific veterinary clinic. If you are able to provide food, this will help us reduce our cost

What skills are needed?

It’s best to have some knowledge about pups and behaviors

Some dogs will require a little extra help or some training. Shy dogs often need extra time to learn to trust in the quiet of a home environment. What skills are needed?

What else is required?

Our pups will need fenced yards and transportation to and from adoption events, and sometimes transport to vet appointments.

Adoption Events

Don’t be shy!!! Come out and meet new people. We need volunteers to help with transportation to events. Load up! And unload! Take pictures, sell raffle tickets or just hang out with the pups!

When you are ready, contact Spay It Forward and let’s talk about it!

There may be some training involved and some papers to sign, but you should be able to get home soon with a new foster pup!

Foster parents make an enormous difference in the number of dogs euthanized each year because shelters don’t have space for them. Best of all, FOSTERING SAVES LIVES.
