AFAR

At AFAR, we believe that everyone deserves another chance to live a better, happier life. Our nonprofit organization, 501C3 Public Charity, manages 5 sober living homes in the Burlington and Hamilton New Jersey area, to provide recovering addicts and alcoholics who have completed a rehabilitation program a safe place to live. We also assist our residents with employment opportunities to support addiction recovery for a life free of drugs and alcohol.

We are a completely volunteer organization. It is our hope to offer safe and secure houses for men and women to live in to help them get back on their feet before going back into the real world. We want them to know there are people who want to help them get better, who really care, and are not in it for the profit.

Just about all of the volunteers involved with AFAR have experience with substance abuse, whether it afflicted a family member, friend or them. After meeting others through Nar-Anon and other support groups, we decided it was time to give back with compassion and without judgment. The cost of living in a recovery house can be too expensive for some. We wanted to provide all with the opportunity to succeed without profit as our goal.
