Section V Unified Champion Schools

Thank you for supporting Section V Unified Champion Schools and Special Olympics New York. 

Every competitive athlete, no matter what their abilities, shares certain qualities. Drive. Perseverance. Confidence. For athletes with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics New York provides a training ground where those qualities are refined and given room to grow.

Throughout Upstate New York hundreds of schools from elementary to college level made a commitment to inclusion by partnering with Special Olympics New York and becoming Unified Champions Schools.  These schools foster a community of acceptance and belonging through sports, advocacy and leadership.   Our programs continue to reach new heights and shaping the next generation of athletes and community leaders.  

Your donation directly impacts local school districts Unified programming and students transitioning into community programs after graduation.   By being a fan, your support allows people with intellectual disabilities to train, compete and benefit from all that sports has to offer at no cost to them, their families or caregivers.
