Rules and Regulations
1. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Swimming rules as established by organizers and in accordance with the requirements of the local government.
2. All registration is through online.
3. If registration has been made, participants are not eligible for refund if they are unable to attend the match for any reason
4. Only participants whose names are registered in the registration form and make payment are allowed to participate. Failure of the participant to register or provide false information will result in rejection to participate in the event.
5. It is not allowed to change the name and category of the event. Please ensure that the information filled in is correct before sending.
6. Registration on the day of the match is not accepted.
7. The participant registration is limited to only 400 people.
8. All participants or their representatives should take the Race Pack at the designated Site venue. Failure to pick up the Race Pack on the specified day, date and time will cause the participant to be fined.
9. The swimmer-lanyard pass will be given with the name, ic/passport and drop number bag. The pass also serves as a registration of swimmers safely reaching the finish line
10. Participants need to sign a copy of the race conditions and conditions form
before starting the race.
11. Race briefing sessions and question and answer sessions will be conducted at the appointed time, place and date.
12. The competition will be conducted according to the events and schedule of the competitions that have been set.
13. Each participant should report themselves to the reporting area at least 1 hour before the event begins. Failure to do so would cause his inclusion in the event to be cancelled.
14. Each participant will be installed timing chip before starting the race. The
chips should be returned at the finishing tent. Failure to return timing chip will be fined RM50.
15. The participant's number will be marked on the limb/dress by Organizers and participants are not allowed to change numbers respective participants
16. The competition is in accordance with the guidelines set by the organiser as attached below
17. All participants must display the contest number on their sleeves. Additional number marking to participants wearing long sleeves. Female swimmers, to observe the requirement for Muslim swimsuit and male swimmers should cover the aurat perfectly.
18. To non-Muslim female swimmers, please adhere to the established swimming guidelines
19. For male swimmers, swimwear should adhere to sharia. Clothing should close from the navel to the knees and be encouraged to wear long swimsuits to reduce the risk of contact with poisonous jelly fish and sea lice.
20. Each participant is COMPULSORY to wear a safety swimming buoy and swimming cap throughout the match due to safety factors. Failure to comply with these rules causes participants to be disqualified in competing.
21. The winner of each category will be determined based on the fastest time recorded on the participant who completed the distance of the designated race route.
22. The time record is to use manual and electronic systems
23. Cut off time is set 4 hours for all category. The Organizer reserves the right to change this cut-off time period as appropriate, if necessary.
24. During the race, participants are allowed to hold/hug safety swimming buoy anytime to rest up to the finish line
25. Participants who fail to complete the race within the stipulated time limit will be taken out by the safety officer
26. Swimmers who have problems while swimming should inform the officer and show a signal of the problem. Our security personnel will pay attention to swimmers who are in trouble
27. The organizer will mark the route between Pulau Rhu to Bukit Keluang with buoy markers
28. Drinking water is provided in every kayak and bot.
29. Medical officers will be at the competition location
30. The kayak and lifeboat teams will also accompany the participants for safety, emergency purposes as well as as a guide to the race path
31. Female swimmers will also finish at Bukit Keluang Beach. Please note, the officer will assist the female swimmer to wrap the swimmer's body with a towel/raincoat upon arrival at the finish line
32. Participants who successfully complete swimming within the stipulated period will be eligible to receive a finisher medal
33. Each contested category will not be carried out if it gets less than a minimum of two (2) entries.
34. Participation in the competition is one's own responsibility. The judges reserves the right to justify the participant start or finish the race in case of physical condition of participants who are incapable or pose a risk to themselves or someone else.
35. Swimming in the open ocean causes participants to face risks such as sea urchins, jellyfish and other marine life. In the event of an emergency, the organizer reserves the right not to allow the participants involved to continue swimming for safety and treatment purposes.
36. The organizer shall not be responsible for the risk of injury, marine life attack, drowning, loss of life, loss of goods or damage to property either before, during and after the competition.
37. If on the day of the competition there is a natural disaster or impermissible weather conditions, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the contest and the participant will not be allowed to claim damages.
38. Appeals are not allowed and will not be entertained,
39. Decision made by the race director and the competition committee is final.
40. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change any regulations or
rules. Rules may be changed at any time if necessary and of interest to the participants with the approval of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
