Ride Details
Day 1 Dubbo to Gulgong (135km)
Starting at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo at 7am, riders will make their way along a scenic route via Guerie and Goolma, before finishing at the historic $10 note town of Gulgong.
Day 2 - Gulgong to Denman (153km)
Today the route takes riders through the scenic Goulburn River National Park and through the towns of Ulan, Wollar and Bylong, before arriving in the afternoon at the bucolic town of Denman.
The stay in Denman is a highlight where riders will experience the unmissable Zoo2Zoo ‘Kangaroo Court’. This is where riders and support crew get to have some fun and hand out jovial $5 fines (e.g. the most of number of punctures for a rider or group, brightest Knicks, shoes, funny misdemeanours, etc). The idea of the Kangaroo Court is to have some fun after a long 2 days of riding and to raise some extra donations for BDI (payment of fines is voluntary).
Day 3 – Denman to Newcastle (154km)
On our final day we head towards the beach with a magnificent ride through the villages of Jerry's Plains, Branxton, Wallsend and then onto Nobby's Beach where the ride will finish. The celebrations will then kick at the Carrington Bowling Club where everyone can partake in some well deserved drinks and food.
