Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine was founded in 2019 to improve health and healthcare outcomes in underserved communities in Houston, across Texas, and beyond. The college is taking a bold and fresh approach to medical education.
Our focus is to educate a diverse group of physicians with a deep understanding of the social determinants of health and a commitment to providing high-quality, affordable health care to patients in our communities. By teaching students to address key factors that affect their patient’s health, such as food insecurity, the environment, and housing, we can close the gap and help eliminate health disparities in our urban and rural communities that face significant doctor shortages.
The Fertitta Family College of Medicine’s unique and innovative curriculum will prepare students to practice high-quality, high-value, patient-centered medicine in a rapidly changing and complex healthcare system.

VIP Packet Pick-up Closed
VIP allows you to pick up your packet and t-shirt on race morning. If you opt out of VIP, you must pick up your bib before the race, but will have to wait until the race has concluded to pick up your shirt. Please note your requested size may not be available on race day without VIP.
