Our story…

Lynnleigh Claire Hammond was born June 7, 2022 and was diagnosed shortly thereafter with Noonan Syndrome, a genetic disorder. Noonan Syndrome has a broad range of severity. Common issues associated with this disorder include heart, intestinal, renal, and cognitive problems. Lynnleigh was originally diagnosed with a heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as an intestinal malformation. Unfortunately shortly after a surgery, Lynnleigh showed signs of a rare complication, lymphatic malformation. This complication is very difficult to diagnose before it becomes an issue and is even harder to treat. Lynnleigh’s lymphatic system caused her to swell to over 2 times her normal weight. Lynnleigh Claire fought this complication for 67 days before succumbing to its effects. Your donation will assist LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in acquiring equipment and training medical staff to diagnose this complication and give other children a fighting chance.
