Lazy Hound Racing LOVES dogs.. I mean we named our company after them, BUT dogs are not allowed for this race. The trail is single track, and very narrow in places. Your 4 legged friends are welcome at the post race party!
We also strongly recommend to not use any ear gear device. Strollers and Pets are not permitted on the trail course.
Use proper trail "etiquette" which means announces you would like to pass on the left, and to step off the trail if you see you are leading a congo line.

Armadillo Dash 5K Trail Run - ALL TRAIL COURSE
PLEASE READ / REVIEW ALL COURSE DETAILS POSTED BELOW. * THIS IS A TRAIL COURSE WITH UNEVEN, UNPAVED SURFACES
Big thank you to the members of NOMAMBO ( New Orleans Mountain Bike krewe ) who maintain the course on an annual basis.
The trail course is a demanding course with quick turns, uphill and downhill sections of some 4-6 feet that may feel like 100 feet. There are several wood bridge crossings - Caution if wet. This course is NOT a mud run or specified as one. The condition of the trail be it wet or dry is pending weather. We do not, can not and will not alter the course with regards to mud, water. Run it as nature sets it.
Course is well marked - pink directional signage, flags, and race officials on course
*5K is one full loop
There are several water - aid stations on course. Station materials include Kentwood Springs Water, Gatorade. Please make use of nearby trash can or keep trash with you to discard at the next aid station.
Please do not litter the run course. If for any reason you need to stop / quit running and need a ride back please do so at one of the aid stations on course . Should any participant notice someone needing aid, please mention this to the next available course volunteer.
Thank you for joining us. This and more information will be on display at the pavilion on the day of race. This event would not be possible without the superb support of the staff and volunteers, our sponsors and our friends with NOMAMBO
*** Half Marathon Course to be posted as soon as its finalized****
