Turkey Trot at Tradition
The Turkey Trot at Tradition organizers are so excited to bring one of the most popular 5K Run/Walk events to Tradition in Port St. Lucie! Organized in cities across the world, the Turkey Trot is over 125 years old and is the most widely attended 5K race worldwide. The Turkey Trot is a festive community event held on Thanksgiving morning, in advance of the feasting Holiday. It is a family-friendly race, where you can race, walk, run, and gather socially to get some healthy exercise. By bringing this annual event to our community, we hope to create a “tradition” in Tradition that will be celebrated for years to come.

Race Timing
This race will be Chip Timed by Southern Timing, LLC. All participants will receive chip timing with an individual results page complete with pace breakdown, results, photos and a 20 second video of you crossing the start/finish line!

PACKET PICKUP
We are so excited to announce that we will be doing PACKET PICKUP in Tradition Square this year. We have invited our sponsors and hope it will be an exciting kick-off event the day before the race! We look forward to seeing you there!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are kids in strollers allowed? Yes! We welcome your young ones to join you in a stroller. Please be aware of your surroundings and allow faster runners to go around/pass you.
Does my kid in a stroller need to be registered? No. You do not need to register your child that is going to be in a stroller, as they are technically not a participant of the "foot" race. You CAN, however, register them if you would like for them to receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. We welcome their participation!
Are dogs allowed on the course? No. For the safety of the participants and the dog, we cannot allow dogs on the race course. With the large crowds and unpredictability of even the most well behaved dogs, it is best if you keep them at home. They are welcome in the pre and post race areas, but please refrain from bringing your dog along for the trot.
Do you offer refunds for this event? No. Turkey Trot Tradition, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and all of our proceeds are donated to local charities. This event is non-refundable.
