My Story…
I joined CCLA as a staff person in the fall of 2022 and I'm excited to be joining the Walk for Civil Liberties on October 27, 2024. Rights and freedoms are under attack all over the world, and here in Canada too, and we need to work to defend and protect fundamental freedoms and the full range of rights for all people in Canada. Freedom of religion is particularly important to me personally as I was raised in the Baha'i Faith and Baha'is are persecuted in many countries around the world. I also grew up in Quebec and Bill 21 which bans public sector workers from wearing a hijab or turban or other signs of their faith should not exist in a diverse society like ours. I hope you will join me in fighting for justice and rights for every person in Canada by coming out to the walk on Sunday October 27. And if you can't, please consider sponsoring me! Thanks !!
