Run in the Pacific Salt Breeze
Under the Spectacular Mt. Fuji
Shonan is the beautiful coastline area an hour south of Tokyo by train. The marathon starts and finishes in the historic aristocratic resort town of Oiso and runs along world-class beaches with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. Some of Japan’s most popular sightseeing spots like Kamakura, the Enoden train crossing from the manga Slam Dunk and the hot spring town of Hakone are just minutes away.
Running along the Shonan beachfront just south of Tokyo, with only two major turns and 15 m elevation difference the Shonan International Marathon is one of the flattest and straightest courses in Asia. Breathe in the Pacific salt breeze and experience an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the symbol of Japan.
