WHAT:
The Royal City Big Chase, inspired by the reality television show "The Amazing Race", is the ultimate challenge for people in and around Guelph. 40 teams of 4 Guelphites will race around the city while competing in a series of fun challenges and scavenger hunts at multiple well-known shops, parks and businesses. The Big Chase will take you and your team of 4 on the ULTIMATE adventure across the city and have you thinking, laughing, and cheering!
All teams are expected to fundraise with a goal of $600 per team to support our youth mentoring programs!
The first 3 teams to cross the finish line and the top fundraisers will go home with prizes and bragging rights. Are YOU up for the challenge?
WHEN:
Morning to mid-afternoon on Saturday, October 19th, 2024.
WHO:
Everyone aged 1-100 are encouraged to create a team of 4 and participate, however, the team captain must be 18+ years old and each team must have access to a vehicle to participate.
The Royal City Big Chase may be for YOU if you are:
- A corporate team looking for team building exercises
- Competitive friends looking for a challenge
- Families or friends looking for a fun day
- Guelphites who think they know the Royal City like the back of their hand
WHY:
Sponsorships, registrations and fundraising for the Royal City Big Chase raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph and impact the 600+ children and youth involved in our life-changing mentoring programs.
- All teams are expected to fundraise with a goal of $600 per team ($150 per player)
- All teams that fundraise will receive an advantage and the top 3 fundraising teams will receive a head start and have the potential to fast-pass a challenge
- Fundraising is encouraged through Race Roster (more details here) and offline pledge forms
HOW TO FUNDRAISE:

                    The Team Captain of each team is responsible to setting up the team, collecting registration fees from all 4 teammates, paying during registration, creating the team code and sending the team code to Teammates. ALL Teammates must register individually through the "TEAMMATE - Register & add to existing team" to add themselves to their team. -
