About the Organ Mountain Cross Country Team
The Organ Mountain Cross Country Program has a legacy of developing both athletes and people. The program has enjoyed success at both the State and District levels, and this can be attributed to a positive encouraging environment where student athletes can grow and thrive as people and runners. The program believes in supporting their community and giving back and contributing when possible. The Organ Mountain Cross Country team has much gratitude for all that have supported the program.
How you can help raise funds: PEER-to-PEER Fundraising Campaign
Best way you can help raise funds, is to register for this event!
This event is a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign event where participants ask friends and family to donate to a cause via our fundraising platform.
UNLIKE old school pledge drives which are a ton of work: with our easy to use platform:
- No calling friends and family
- No walking the neighborhood knocking on doors
- No Pledge sheets to keep track of
- No tracking down or collecting of funds after event.
INSTEAD when you register, you will be given a Unique Personal Fundraising Page then just:
- Set up your personal pledge page! (How to set up pledge page)
- Determine the amount you wish to raise.
- Share your pledge page with family and friends to donate on your behalf. (How to share pledge page)
- Challenge your friends and family to participate as well as donate!
DONATE on behalf of a registered PARTICIPANT
The easiest way to DONATE is through this site:
PARTICIPANT - CLICK ON “Donate to Participant” on left side menu, locate/search for your participant in list, click "donate" on right side of their info
IN GENERAL - CLICK ON “DONATE NOW” button on right side menu.
Event Tee SHIRT GAVEAWAY
5k racers will receive a t-shirt if registered by Tuesday, July 23; after that there will be a limited supply
Proper Bib Placement
All participants will be assigned a bib number.
For us to properly time your race, our staff and video camera (if available) needs to be able to read your bib number as you cross the finish line.
- Race bibs must be worn on the outside of your clothing on the front of your jersey/shirt (as shown in the picture to the right).
- Please do not, crimple or fold the bib.
- If you do not wear the bib as requested, your finish may not be read properly, and no time will be recorded in the results.
- You may keep your bib following the race. It does not need to be returned.
Refunds / Transfer Policy / Disqualifying
NO Refund on race entry fees. Organ Mountain Cross Country Booster Club does allow for race fees to be transfer to other race events if available with a transfer fee.
We strongly suggest you purchase the race insurance during the registration in case you are unable to attend the race or race is cancelled. You can only purchase the insurance during registration!
Disqualifying participants for using other someone else Bib. Any participant who runs under someone else’s bib will be disqualified and will not be scored. For the safety of our runners, and in case of a medical emergency, it is imperative that the registration data associated with the race number belongs to the person wearing the bib. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent Plant a Seed events for a minimum of two years.
