The SMSS will be putting on our 21st annual fundraising event, Miles for Smiles on Saturday, September 14th 2024. Our walk/run will be held in Rotary Park with 2.5km, 5km, and 10km races. We will also be offering a virtual option for those unable to attend in-person. The events will begin at 8:30am, but we encourage participants to arrive at 8:00am to check-in.
All proceeds raised will go towards Food Banks of Saskatchewan.
Miles for Smiles is an event organized by medical students at the University of Saskatchewan that welcomes community members and individuals of all abilities and promotes healthy and active lifestyles.

Food Banks of Saskatchewan is the provincial association for all 36 registered food banks within the province. Food Banks of Saskatchewan serves and advocates for the people of Saskatchewan who face food insecurity. The donations will be allocated among the 36 food banks, and the funds are used to purchase and distribute the most urgently needed items.
If you would like to make a separate monetary donation to add to our grand total to be donated to Food Banks of Saskatchewan from the Miles for Smiles event, please e-transfer to treasurer.smss@gmail.com, and include Miles for Smiles 2024 donation in the subject.
