Tom Peters 5k run and walk: This 3.1 mile scenic loop course ends with a run down Main Street and finish at the Old Meeting House. 5k starts down Poor Farm Road for the start of the run/walk.
Also featuring a kids fun run!
This is the 106th Labor Day celebration in Francestown. Come for the race, stay for festivities, live music, parade, and more! Truly one of the most special town events in the state.

Additional Race Details
To make this event kinder to our volunteers, and for you to be included in prizes and rankings, please register online.
Registration will close at 8pm on Sunday September 1st.
On Site Race Day registration will be $25.
The 2024 Francestown Five will take place on Monday, Sept 2nd.
5K Course
Walk or run the Tom Peters 5k! Walkers will begin before runners.
This 3.1 mile scenic loop course ends with a run down Main Street and finish at the Old Meeting House. Participants will walk down Poor Farm Road for the start of the race. Runners/walkers will turn left on Todd Road where an aide station will be placed near the half-way point. They will then turn left on Pleasant Pond Road. Then left on 47 back to Main Street. There will be signs showing all turns and mile markers!
5 Mile (8k) Course
*NEW for 2024!*
This route is just over 5 miles with 396 ft of climb. Runners leave the Old Meeting House down the turnpike, and make a sharp right on Stevens Rd at the 1 1/3 mi mark. At the Y, stay left on Birdsall. Cross 136/Greenfield road on to Muzzey just past the 3 mi mark. You will turn right on to class 6 King Hill Road. This stretch is a short rocky climb so come prepared. Turn left on Perley, right on Oak Hill, back to the OMH.
Kid's Fun Run
Have a kid that wants to be a part of the fun? Sign them up for the Kids Fun Run! Not a race, A short course near or around the Old Meeting House, everyone gets a ribbon as they cross the finish.
Awards
We are working hard to have awards for the top male and female finishers not just over all, but for each age bracket (20-29, 30-39, etc.)! If you are interested in donating a product, good, or service to our awards, please contact Cyrena at WxCyrena@gmail.com.

7:45 am: Bib pick-up and on-site registration begins
8:30 am: 5 mile runners start
8:40 am: 5k walkers may begin
9:00 am: 5k run start
9:45 am: Kid's Fun Run and Awards
5K Registration online is only $20!
Registration and bib-pickup will take place at the Old Meeting House.
Race Day registration is $25. To make this event kinder to our volunteers and be included in prizes and rankings, please register online in advance.
Kid's Fun Run registration is $10.
Parking
Parking is permitted on roads that lead out of town. Do not park in places that are marked "No Parking".
Parking is also allowed at the town rec fields about 1/3 mi away from town (map here)
Post-Race Refreshments
After the race, water and light snacks will be provided. You may also buy baked goods at the horse sheds starting at 10am. They will include GF and DF options!
