Let us make a difference and improve Guyana’s Heart Health scorecard! The inaugural SOCA Heart Project is an exciting cardiovascular awareness and research fundraising campaign hosted by STRIDE592 in partnership with the Caribbean Heart Institute, Ministry of Health and the Cardiology Department at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

As a community, we’ll come together to STRENGTHEN OUR CARDIOVASCULAR ADVOCACY one step, one person, one heartbeat at a time.

SOCA Heart 5K/10K Walk Run: Sunday, September 29th, 2024

STRIDE for your Heart on World Heart Day with a morning of fitness, fun, education and liming. After the race, stick around for music, heart healthy refreshments, speakers panels, vendors, a fresh vegetable market, and our signature school sports games until noon.

Whether you're a seasoned runner, walker or just starting your fitness journey, the SOCA Heart 5K/10K welcomes teams, groups, organizations and individuals of all ages and abilities.

VIRTUAL 5K. Walk, Run, Move with us from wherever you are. Our goal is to get 100 persons across the region and diaspora to support Heart Health in Guyana. Reigster today and on Spet 29 you have 24 hours to complete your Virtual Race.

Funds raised will launch a 5-million-dollar SOCA HEART cardiovascular research and community engagement fund. DONATE HERE

STEPS TO REGISTERING AND PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS:

All participants will be required to complete an online registration form and then submit their payments either using a credit card or MMG online or in-person. Carefully read the steps below for the directions.

Using A Credit Card

  1. Click the Register Button

  2. Create your free Race Roster account (18+ years or older)

  3. Click to sign-up for yourself or for someone else

  4. Fill in all of the required information [ add another person if needed]

  5. Follow steps to credit card payment page, then complete payment

  6. Please keep your registration confirmation as you will need this to collect your race package.


Using MMG Online or In Person (Payment must be made within 24 hours after registration)

  1. Click the Register Button

  2. Create your free Race Roster account (18+ years or older)

  3. Click to sign-up for yourself or for someone else

  4. Fill in all of the required information

  5. In the PROMO CODE FIELD, Enter the code (SOCAMMG)

  6. Add Another Participant or Continue

  7. Follow steps to credit card payment page, your total will $0.00

  8. Submit your registration and use MMG to process your payment

  9. Open your MMG app

  10. Select 'Shop & Go'

  11. Pay Merchant: Input 'Stride592'

  12. Add payment amount

  13. Add Note: Write the name of participants

  14. Please keep your ALL registration and payment confirmations as you will need this to collect your race package.
