Optional: You can do this hike while carrying 10 pounds of pet supplies in your backpack, which will be donated to a local shelter. This symbolic gesture helps support pets in need while honoring your own pet or those that you've lost. Or feel free to donate the pet supplies without hiking with it.
✅ Adoption Event: After the hike, visit Young Williams’ adoption booth and give a loving home to a new furry friend.
To raise funds for individuals struggling with high veterinary bills.
To support local shelters by donating pet supplies and encouraging adoptions.
This event is organized by Scott Colby (a Knoxville resident), in loving memory of Mia and Nomar, two cherished cats who have left paw prints on our hearts. Mia passed away just last year at age 20 and had lymphoma and kidney disease. We aim to help pet parents not have to make a decision about their pet's health due to finances.
Please Register Below To Hike!
We are raising money to help low income pet parents who can't afford their vet bills. Please register below to hike. A donation is optional, but we would love it if you can. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Nomar and Mia Compassion Fund from the Young Williams Animal Center in Knoxville to help pet parents pay their vet bills.
Raise Money and Honor Your Pet!
After you register for the hike, you will have the opportunity to set up your own fundraising page in your pet's honor and raise money for the Nomar and Mia Compassion Fund to help more low income pet parents.
Instructions on how to do this will be emailed to you.
