The Medical Plaza, Building 3, 4351 E. Lohman Ave.
It will be a drive through and there is an area in front of the entrance on that side of the building where people can drive-thru to pick up their packets.
Description:
Stand together against cancer by taking part in a 5K or 1 Mile Walk Presented by MountainView Regional Medical Center. The Cancer Warriors 5K is a family-friendly community run/walk for men, women, and children. Runners, walkers, and volunteers unite to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness to help reduce cancer risk and raise money to support cancer patients.
A portion of run proceeds + 100% of the fundraising will go to the Cancer Warriors.
About Us:
Cancer Warriors Las Cruces was created by a group of local Las Cruces women, most of who are cancer survivors, to assist those fighting the fight in our community. We learned through our own separate experiences that, as a cancer patient, it is assumed all the information you need is given at the doctor’s office. But we all found that, in general, doctors and nurses are there to save your life and they don’t always offer the tips your fellow survivors can offer to make the journey easier. We each learned a lot on our own and now we want to share what we know with other cancer survivors. We have and continue to raise money to purchase resources and functional items to help make things easier throughout the different stages of one’s cancer journey. We currently provide 4 different “Cancer Care Kits” for Cancer Diagnosis, Surgery, Chemotherapy and Radiation. These kits are distributed to doctor’s offices so that they can hand them out to their patients going through a cancer journey and hopefully make their cancer and treatment a little easier.
Virtual Run Option:
- Our Virtual Run uniquely offers a Training Pack with Digital Tools to support your run.
Virtual runs can be done any time and place of your choosing using any tracking device (optional). After you finish, you can submit your results to info@wanderlust.run to t-shirt, and finishers medal!

5K Age Group awards
Overall awards to the top three men and top 3 women overall (they will not be eligible for age group awards)
Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups Male, Female in the 5K only.
Our age groups are the following:
9 and under; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and up
