Beautiful Bancroft
Fun and challenging paddle races for Canoe, Kayak, SUP craft. Racing and Recreational classes with the Ontario Marathon Provincials races taking place at the same time.

Funds raised go to help support Bancroft Community Transits’ transportation for children and youth in the community; for employment and social programs that foster social inclusion.
The race courses will be run upstream on the York River starting from Riverside Park in downtown Bancroft. The river has deep and shallow sections, twists, current and other technical elements as well as a buoy turn.
While this race is billed as OMCKRA’s Ontario Marathon Canoe/Kayak Championship for OMCKRA Members, the competition is open to anyone who complies with the rules and regulations of the competition. The distances are 5 and 12 km on Saturday, 24 km on Sunday. Saturday pick up boat numbers and briefing 11AM with noon start for races. Sunday check in at 9AM with 10AM start for races.
Core classes will be offered at this event of U14, U17, Senior (20 to 40), Masters and Grandmasters with Senior as the default class so for example a Masters paddler can race with someone aged in their 20s. See standard age categories on OMCKRA website. https://omckra.com/resources.
Cost is per paddler, discounts for OMCKRA members.
