My Story…
In November 2023, I received a diagnosis that no one ever wants to hear - pancreatic cancer.
The road to this diagnosis began on the Saturday after Thanksgiving just about 10 hours after taking our annual family Christmas picture! I was admitted to the ER with abdominal pains. After a local CT Scan I was transferred up to a larger Kaiser where I underwent more tests and scans only to confirm Pancreatitis and a mass on my pancreas with an abnormally high tumor marker. (aka - CA 19-9)
Today a year later and after Whipple Surgery, 18 rounds of chemotherapy and 25 rounds of radiation I am happy to say that there is no visible signs of cancer left. My scans will have to continue every 3 months for the foreseeable future but I feel by the Grace of God I will never hear that I have cancer again!
My profile picture shows me after ringing the bell on September 30th finishing radiation treatments!
God is not done with me yet! <><
So we fix our eyes not what is seen but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor 4:18
