NC4K Reindeer Run Presented by Chick-fil-A Columbus

Get ready to walk, run, or jog in Downtown Columbus along the Scioto Mile to support Ohio childhood cancer families! Getting the race started, we’ll cheer on our youngest runners in the Chick-fil-A Kids’ Fun Run. Looking for a family-friendly option? Sign up for our half-mile Santa Stroll! After the race, participants are encouraged to stick around for the Rooftop Reindeer Party at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum and enjoy FREE Chick-fil-A!

7:30 - 8:55 a.m. - Packet Pick-Up
8:30 a.m. - Kids' Fun Run (100-yard dash)
8:40 a.m. - Opening Remarks- All participants should join us on the lawn at this time.
8:50 a.m. - Santa Stroll Walk Start
8:55 a.m. - 5K Processional to Start Line
9:00 a.m. - 5K Start at Genoa Park
9:15 - 11:00 a.m. - Rooftop Reindeer Party at Veterans Memorial

Arrival time

If you are picking up your packet on race day:

Registration opens at 7:30 am inside Veterans Memorial. We recommend arriving at 7:30 to ensure you receive your packet before the race starts.

If you have already picked up your race packet:

You can join us on the lawn starting at 7:30 am to enjoy activities and take a self-guided tour of Veterans Memorial. We recommend arriving no later than 8:30.

Parking

National Veterans Memorial and Museum is located at 300 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215.

Complimentary parking will be provided in the LAZ lot to the west of Veterans Memorial. This parking lot is reserved for registered participants. If you have spectators joining you, please encourage them to park in the lot behind The Boat House at Confluence Park, located near the 1.5 mile mark.

Please plan to pick up your packet, which includes your t-shirt and race bib, before race day. A friend or family member may pick up your packet for you. Packets will be available to pick up on the day of the race, however, advance pickup is highly encouraged to avoid long lines and wait times.

If you're planning to pick up your packet on race day, we recommend arriving at 7:30 to ensure you receive your packet before the race starts. Packet pickup on race day will be inside Veterans Memorial.

Where can I park? Dedicated free event parking will be provided at the LAZ Lots adjacent to Veterans Memorial.

Where along the route can spectators come to cheer on the runners? Spectators are welcome to park and cheer on the runners along the route. They are encouraged to park in the lot behind The Boat House at Confluence Park, located near the 1.5 mile mark. Please note the Veterans Memorial parking lot is reserved for registered participants.

Can I walk the 5K route? Yes, you are welcome to walk, jog, or run the mapped 5K route.

Are strollers allowed on the 5K route? Jogging strollers are welcomed! We kindly ask that participants with strollers line up towards the back of the starting line to allow room for individual runners up front.

Can my pet participate in the walk or 5K? The Reindeer Run is not a pet-friendly event.

How long is the walk option? Offered this year is the Santa Stroll which is a half-mile walk option on the grounds at Veterans Memorial.

Is there a water stop along the 5K route? There is ONE water stop along the 5K route at approximately the 1 mile mark (Confluence Park). Water will be provided as participants cross the finish line.

Is this event refundable? The NC4K Reindeer Run fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately to allow NC4K to continue to provide critical programs and services.

What happens if there is inclement weather? The Reindeer Run 5K is rain, snow, or shine! In the event of severe weather, follow the city of Columbus guidelines.

Are there restrooms available along the route? Available restrooms are located at Veterans Memorial where the race kick-off and after-party take place.

Can I take a tour of Vets Memorial? All registered participants are invited to take a free self-guided tour of Veterans Memorial before or after the event.
