Our second showing of the Flying Squirrel will be hosted at Keppoch Mountain in Antigonish County. Centrally located to bring out the best from the Mainland, Cape Breton Island, New Brunswick and PEI to battle it out in the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia. 10ish kms with roughly 315 meters of elevation gain on a mix of wide double track and technical single track. Plenty of ups and downs and spaces to stretch your legs out. This is a fully insured event with well-marked trails, amazing volunteers and aid stations spread throughout the course.
A portion of our proceeds will be going to the Keppoch, who work tirelessly to keep these trails accessible for 4 seasons of outdoor fun. Your contributions help keep a not for profit like the Keppoch open and assist it with the resources it needs.
This will be a manually timed event with generous cutoff times to encourage all skill levels to come out. Prizes will be awarded for Men's, Ladies and Non-binary podium finishers. All runners will receive entry into some great raffle prizes thanks to our partners. New for 2024 will be our 1km kid's fun run leading off before our 10km event. Each Adult participant in the 10km event will gain a free entry code for one youth to join us in the 1km fun run. Email tyler@highlandtrailrunning.ca for your promo code.

Athletes 17+ will now be invited to our main event with parental permission. Day passes for Keppoch are included with your registration, feel free to bring your bike or hit the trails afterward and explore all that Keppoch has to offer.
