The Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes

Raise money for The Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes

The Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes began in 1980 with a small group of people who met on a regular basis in living rooms of those involved, and two who were involved from the very beginning were Drs. Peter and Carol Camfield.  The Association was created to provide education and support for those living with epilepsy and their families.  Almost forty years later, our priorities continue to be education, support and advocacy.  In 2019, we changed our legal name to Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes to better reflect the communities and provinces we serve.  We also provide scholarships and bursaries for those pursuing post secondary education in the Maritimes; support Research and run a variety of support programs that help increase the quality of live of those living with epilepsy, their families and the safety of the communities at large.
