Dia de los Muertos Run
Please join us on our 5th annual 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Kids Run Scholarship Fundraiser
Sign up for the In-Person Race and run with hundreds of people in historic downtown Pasco, WA. The city is home to a booming Latino/a/x population in agricultural Washington state.
How will I know what to do on race day? DDLMrun (Dia de los Muertos) organizers will be sending emails as the race nears about Covid-19 updates, race details, parking, how virtual-race runners will track their own time, and other details. Please follow us on IG and fb @ddlmrun for info and updates. On the day of your run, please post photos on Instagram with the hashtag #ddlmrun
A Race to Remember: DDLMrun is a way to pay tribute to those who are no longer with us. You honor yourself and others by prolonging your life as physical activity has proven to do. Please help us celebrate those you are running for by submitting their name during registration (at no extra cost). Their name will be incorporated into the candle light vigil design you see below. Shirt is not included with registration price. DEADLINE: To get the name included in the vigil design, you must be registered by Sunday Oct. 8th at 11:59pm.
Scholarship: DDLMrun uses all proceeds to generate large sum scholarships for marginalized youth in Benton - Franklin Counties in rural WA state. As of 2021, we have generated over $34,000 for our youth!
Pick up your shirt in the Tri-Cities area in Washington state on the last week of October or get it mailed to your location out of town. Please provide your mailing address when registering.

This Year's Bib Design
DDLM has a history of creating the most keepable racing bibs in the region. Meant to look like "papel picado", we generate different colors for you to be able to hang on your wall after the race.
Dress up: For the race, all participants are encouraged to dress, create and run with props, and run with faces painted in Dia de los Muertos fashion. This is the all of the fun: We'd love to see it so please photograph your costume and send post a photo on Instagram with hashtag #DDLMrun
Show up two hours before the race: DDLM provides face painting by donation.
It's a Fundraiser: Dia de los Muertos 5k/10k run is a scholarship fundraiser, proceeds will assist disadvantaged youth pursuing higher education in the state of WA. This race invites all participants to come together and promote good health while acting as the proverbial "village to raise a child". Legal residence is not a requirement to be considered for the scholarship award.
First year's recipients: Kevin Galicia $2000 and Melanie Luna $5000 (not in picture)
How does one respect/honor our deceased: When you run, you are invited to do so in memory of a passed loved one. It is through your health and wellbeing that you can honor the life and death of a friend or family member. Traditionally, you are encouraged of creating a small space in your own home with candles, a photo of your loved one, and an assortment of items they once loved. We'd love to see it so please photograph it and send post a photo on Instagram with hashtag#DDLMrun
