Complex Trauma Physiotherapy Course

This course is aimed at physiotherapists who have previously attended the Alfred Introduction to Trauma Physiotherapy Course (run via Teams over two half days) or have equivalent experience with orthopaedic/trauma patients, including the patient populations in the clinical scenarios below. This course will be run as a face-to-face course at the Alfred requiring attendance in person.

The content presented in this course will consolidate information presented in the introductory course, and will include case study presentations, interactive clinical discussion and will have practical assessment components.

Clinical scenarios will include:

• Pelvic trauma
• Spinal trauma
• Chest trauma
• Multi-trauma
• Early rehabilitation in the acute setting
• Discharge planning and long-term outcomes

A timetable of events will be sent to attendees in the week prior to the course.

• Afternoon tea provided (dietary requirements will be accommodated)
