The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third weekend of November each year – to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are also affected. It is also a Day on which we thank the emergency services and reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this daily continuing disaster to families, communities and countries, and on ways to halt it.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
➢ A Traffic Village, which is supported by the Ministry of Works & Transport, TTPS, Fire Services, Ambulance as well as other road safety entities. Come out to see the speed guns in action and volunteer to test the breathalyser.
➢ A walk/run around the Queen’s Park Savannah with the family members and friends of loved ones lost on our nation's roads and of course the general public.
➢ A candlelight ceremony for the family members of road traffic victims which encourages sharing, bonding and networking to support the healing of the pain and grief that is mutually shared.

Starting from Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar to Q.P. Savannah and return
Approx 60km round trip
1. Head South on TBD Road
2. Turn right onto Lennox Yearwood Expressway
3. Turn left onto O'Meara Road
4. At the traffic light turn right onto Churchill Roosevelt Highway
5. Continue heading West onto Wrightson Road
6. Turn right onto Colville Street
7. Turn right onto Tragarete Road
8. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue
9. Continue North to Queen’s Park Savannah.
Return
1. Head West onto Queen’s Park Savannah
2. Turn left onto Cipriani Boulevard
3. At the traffic light turn right onto Tragarete Road
4. Turn left onto French Street
5. Turn left on Wrightson Road
6. Continue through Beetham Highway and onto Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
WEST
Starting from Queen’s Park Savannah to Piarco and return
(Approx 50km round trip)
1. Head West onto Queen’s Park Savannah
2. Turn left onto Cipriani Boulevard
3. At the traffic light turn right onto Tragarete Road
4. Turn left onto French Street
5. Turn left on Wrightson Road
6. Continue through Beetham Highway and onto Churchill Roosevelt Highway
7. Continue to the Piarco intersection
8. Turn right onto BWIA Boulevard and follow to round-a-bout.
9. Take the forth exit on round-a-bout and head North on BWIA Boulevard.
10. Turn left onto Curchill Roosevelt Highway and continue heading West onto Wrightson Road.
11. Turn right onto Colville Street
12. Turn right onto Tragarete Road
13. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue
14. Continue North to Queen’s Park Savannah.
CENTRAL
Starting from National Cycling Centre, Couva to Q.P. Savannah and return
Approx 80km
1. Leave the National Cycling Centre and head East on Couva Main Road.
2. Turn left onto the northbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway
3. Head North onto Uriah Butler Highway
4. Take the westbound exit onto Churchill Roosevelt Highway
5. Continue West through Beetham Highway and onto Wrightson Road
6. Turn right onto Colville Street
7. Turn right onto Tragarete Road
8. Turn left onto Victoria Avenue and continue North to Queen’s Park Savannah.
Return
1. Head West onto Queen’s Park Savannah
2. Turn left onto Cipriani Boulevard
3. At the traffic light turn right onto Tragarete Road
4. Turn left onto French Street
5. Turn left on Wrightson Road
