EVENT DESCRIPTION
Runners' Choice Waterloo and Altra have teamed up to celebrate going into the new year in style with 25km to 2025! A fun, social event happening on, you guessed it, New Years Eve, Tuesday December 31st, 2024 at 8:30am. Best of all, this event is a fundraising initiative to support KidSport Kitchener-Waterloo, making your participation count even more!
LIMITED TO 200 PARTICIPANTS
IMPORTANT EVENT NOTE
ROAD CLOSURES: This isn't a sanctioned course/race - it's a social run/walk. No road closures will be provided by Police or volunteers, so please practice caution when crossing roads throughout the 5km loop.
5KM LOOP
The run/walk will be completed on a 5km loop starting and ending at Runners' Choice Waterloo (105-55 Erb Street East, Waterloo, ON). The '25km to 2025' route can be found further below on this event page or here via Strava (you don't need Strava to participate in this event).
PARTICIPANT SWAG
All registrants will receive a limited edition '25km to 2025' 16oz. pint glass. All registrants will receive one can of Athletic Brewing Co. Non-Alcoholic beer (355 ml). The first 100 registrants will receive a Altra Vanish Tank Top.
Note: You will only be able to pick up your merchandise at the store—in-person, no deliveries—from event day, December 31st, 2024, until January 31st, 2025. All merchandise will not be available before or after this time frame.
ALTRA DEMO FLEET
Kyle from Altra will be bringing some fun of his own with a demo fleet of the following Altra shoes: Torin 8, Lone Peak 9, and Experience Flow that you are able to use on event day to complete your preferred distance.
DRAW PRIZES
There will be draw prizes from both Altra and Stance!
Altra will be giving six pairs of shoes, and Stance will be giving away six pairs of socks/hats.
POST-RUN
Post-run you are able to pick up your 16oz. Pint Glass, Athletic Brewing Non-Alcoholic Beer (355ml), and Altra Vanish Tank Top (if applicable) in-store at Runners' Choice Waterloo.
We will also have snacks and coffee for your enjoyment!

You repeat the 5km loop (x5) for a total distance of 25km. Not feeling 25km? That's okay, we're not tracking or timing you - You can complete the 5km loop as many times as you would like! There is nothing wrong with running/walking '5km to 2025' or '10km to 2025'...
