Ashley Forest Gravel Cycling Event Dec 14th
'Mid length' Gravel event, come and experience some of the best gravel roads in North Canterbury. Craig and Ben Oliver's favourite training grounds near home.
We are excited to bring a gravel race to the pristine roads of the Ashely Forest, rolling roads, challenging climbs, fast descents. Racing in the shadows of MT Grey with views over the canterbury coastline.
Doubling as a fundraiser for Craig and Ben to race the Absa Cape Epic March 2025, 7 day MTB Stage Race in South Africa as a 2 man team.
The course is entirely on Private land, the Ashley Forest is run by Rayonier Matariki. Stoked to bring this gravel playground to you on race day. Strictly no Ashley Forest Access before race day unless you are a North Canterbury Cycling Club member with a permit. Follow North Canterbury Cycling Club permit rules as per there website for access times and more.
Pick your bike ! Gravel bike or Mountain Bike both welcome.
This event is 100% gravel forestry roads. Mostly smooth gravel, some more dirt based, small sections of bigger chip gravel.
