Participate in the first-ever 5K held by UIUC AIChE on the quad and get a chance to win a prize while getting some exercise with your friends. We will provide water and snacks for this event and there will be a BBQ afterwards.
All proceeds will be donated to Crisis Nursery, a non-profit in the Champaign area that is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Crisis Nursery is the only emergency-based childcare facility in Champaign County that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the entire community to access with no fees or income eligibility. The money raised at this event is going directly to support the Safe Children Program, which is that 24-hour emergency childcare. To those who donate, thank you so much for your contribution for this community.

AIChE is the world's leading chemical engineering professional organization, with members spanning 93 countries and a variety of industries and areas of research. The goal of the UIUC chapter is to promote professional development of its members through its programs and via relations with its own student members, faculty, with other Student Chapters and with the parent body, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, as well as helping out the local Champaign community.
