6.5 km, 13 km and 19.5 km

This event is a runner/walker social event with no focus on racing! Its all about jump starting your new year’s resolution of staying fit and keeping connected with friends and encouraging each other to stay active over the winter months, while having fun on the run!

Distance: 6.5 km, 13 km or 19.5 km

When: Saturday Dec 14, 2024

Course:

Road with 40 meters gain/loss per 6.5km loop. The s/f will have a few cases of water for those needing fluid.

Start time:

9:45 am (19.5 km), 3 loops

10:15 am (13 km), 2 loops

11 am (6.5 km), 1 loop

**Note: If these times cannot get you close to a noon finish, you can start 10 - 15 mins earlier You would have to email us to confirm your new start time.

Start location: Centreville Community Hall, 1951 Hwy 359, Centreville, NS

Cost: $20.00 plus Race Roster processing fee of $3.90.

Limited field: Limited to the first 40 entries. Due to this being a road training run, there will be an age limit of 18.

Course: Start across the street from the Centreville Community Hall and head East on Hwy 359 on asphalt path to Saxon St. Turn left on Saxon St at (Charles Macdonald Concrete House Museum) and continue to Gibson Woods Road. Turn left at Gibson Woods Rd and continue to Hwy 221. Turn left at Hwy 221and continue to Hwy 358. Turn left at Hwy 358 and follow 300 meters the start/finish. The course will have a directional sign at all four turns. Runners/walkers must face traffic at all times and treat this social event as a training run and not a race.

Reception: A reception will follow at the Centreville Community Hall with pizza delivery from Pizza Hut. There will also be Tim Hortons coffee, water bottles and cheese cake for desert. We will also have gluten free cheese cake as an option.

The pizzas will be:

• Canadian
• Vegetarian
• Gluten free

Please let us know on or before Dec 10th, if you prefer the gluten free, to ensure we order enough for all.

Special Guest: Santa will be making a guest appearance at noon and handing out a little gift to all of the Naughty or Nice. There will also be a few draw prizes for those who wear something festive. A festive item could be a Santa hat, or bells around your neck! 🤣

Washroom: Centreville Community Hall has full washrooms available for your convenience and the facility will open at 9 am.

Parking: There is plenty of parking available at the Centreville Community Hall.

Event Cancelation: If the event is cancelled for ANY reason we will notify all via race roster email the day before. All registered participants will get a 100% deferral to the St Patrick's day fun run/walk that will be planned at the same location in March with similar choice of distances.

Name tags: Upon arrival to the community hall, all registered participants will receive a name tag. This name tag allows you access to the venue, food, Santa gift and chance to win draw prizes.

Events proceeds: After all expenses have been met, the remainder of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Centreville Community Hall.
