Wes Kessenich was an avid runner, cyclist, triathlete and fitness enthusiast who was always up for a challenge. He worked at Charlotte Running Company and was a loyal supporter of friends and family in their fitness endeavors. It brought him joy to watch others pursue challenges and reach their goals.
We lost Wes too soon in 2022 to a car accident as he was riding his bike one morning in May. Please join us in supporting BikeWalk NC in Wes' honor as we celebrate his passions and support bike and road safety to help prevent future bike tragedies.
BikeWalk NC envisions a state where anyone can choose to bicycle, roll, run, and walk as practical, healthy, safe and active transportation.
BikeWalk NC's mission is to lead, support, and inspire advocacy and educational efforts throughout North Carolina for an environment that fairly, safely, and equitably serves bicyclists, pedestrians, and others using active mobility and human-powered transportation.
All of the money that you donate, on top of $1 per participant from Start 2 Finish, will be donated to BikeWalk NC in Wes' name.
