Our story…

Sofia’s Journey 

November 2023 was the year that changed our lives forever. This was the year Sofia was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Over the last year and half, Sofia has been through weekly injections, countless blood work appointments, seen many specialists and undergone many diagnostic tests so we can put her condition into remission and reduce her daily pain. 

At Children's HSC, we were given a pamphlet for Cassie + friends and it has helped us and Sofia understand her diagnosis, connected us with others in our community and all over Canada dealing with Rheumatic diseases. 

When we heard Winnipeg was going to have their very first Walk/Run to support Juvenile Arthritis / Rheumatic diseases we were very excited to join so we can bring awareness to others regarding these childhood conditions. 

We welcome anyone to come register and join us on May 31 at Kildonan Park to support our Beautiful, Brave Sofia!! 

If you are unable to attend May 31, please consider donating as money raised goes towards Research, Injection kits, support for Manitoban families!
