I have signed up for the Raymond James Father’s Day Walk / Run for Prostate Cancer, supporting the valuable work of Island Prostate Centre. This year's event is Sunday, June 15th.
Trust me, I get it…prostate cancer is not the most comfortable thing to talk about.
But the fact is that 1 in 8 men on Vancouver Island will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
I know 8 men. You know 8 men.
We need to ensure that all the men in our lives continue to have free access to critical support when they need it.
This is where I are making this personal because I need your help.
By signing up for the Father’s Day event and committing to raising much needed funds, I am working to ensure that patients can access all of services when they are needed.
BECAUSE OF YOU any of these 8 men can have continued access to Island Prostate Centre's Nurse Navigator program. BECAUSE OF YOU any of the 8 men can hear expert speakers provide recommendations for nutrition and self-care. BECAUSE OF YOU when a man is diagnosed, he will have access to Island Prostate Centre, which will make the hardest time in his life a little easier.
Every dollar really does matter so thank you for helping me help give all patients diagnosed with prostate cancer access to the care and support they deserve!
