Over 2300 Runners and 135,000 watts of power make Detweiller at Dark THE most unique XC events in the country! It all goes down at the historic Detweiller Park!

This summertime event includes an Open Race and Jr. High and High School races for both Girls and Boys divisions as well as a kids' race!

IMPORTANT NEW IN 2025:
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
PARKING IS $10 CASH PER VEHICLE
BUSES FREE (DOES NOT INCLUDE 15-PASSENGER VANS)

Graduating Students (MS or HS)

Graduating students have the option to run up a level or stay in the level they just completed in school.

Examples:
High School - a high school student who just graduated in May of 2025 can participate in the High School Boys/Girls Race or can opt to run in the Open Race.
Middle School - a middle school student who just graduated in May of 2025 can participate in the Middle School Boys/Girls Race or can opt to run in the High School Boys/Girls Race.


Teams

How do I create a team?

If your team HAS NOT BEEN CREATED by someone else:

During the registration process, in the Teams Section, if you are the first person on the TEAM to register YOU MUST create the team name. The person who creates the team may also create a team passcode to restrict membership to the team. If a passcode is created, make sure the code is shared with team members so they can join the team.

How do I join a team during registration?

If your team HAS ALREADY BEEN CREATED by someone else:

- View Teams and find your team name. Select "Join Team." Complete the registration process.

OR

- During the registration process, in the Teams Section select the team name from the dropdown menu in the Team Section. NOTE: for this event there are A LOT of teams. Please scroll through the entire list a couple times before creating a NEW TEAM NAME, to make sure your team has NOT already been created.

How do I add myself to a team after registering? How do I switch teams after registering?

If your decide to JOIN a TEAM or SWITCH TEAMS after you have registered, log into your Race Roster Participant Dashboard. Select this event. Under the team header, select the "Add team" button. Use the dropdown to select/change your team.

      3:00pm - Packet Pickup OPENS at Detweiller Park

    6:30pm - Kids' Fun Run
    Approximately     1200 meters ~ this is for all the little ones

    7:00pm - Open Race
    3.0 Miles ~ this is for all collegiate, post-collegiate athletes, and weekend warriors

    8:00pm - Jr. High Girls
    2.1 Miles ~ this is for girls up to age 14

    8:30pm - Jr. High Boys
    2.1 Miles ~ this is for boys up to age 14

    9:00pm - Packet Pickup CLOSES

    9:15pm - High School Girls
    3.0 Miles ~ this is for girls ages 13-19

    10:00pm - High School Boys
    3.0 Miles ~ this is for boys ages 13-19

Registration Policies

  1. Graduating students have the option to run up a level or stay in the level they just completed in school.
    For example, a High School student who just graduated in May of 2025 can participate in the High School Boys/Girls Race or can opt to run in the Open Race.
  2. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
  3. NO REFUNDS - NO DEFFERALS
  4. Click here for TRANSFER instructions on how to transfer your registration to a new person
  5. Race Management reserves the right to MODIFY or CANCEL the event if deemed necessary
  6. Registration fees are NOT REFUNDABLE in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God"
