The Florida Turkey Trot Presented by Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is a 3.1 mile run/walk for all ages and abilities! Your registration includes a professionally managed race course, recycled poly-rayon race shirt, and a beautiful finisher's medal to commemorate your achievement. After you cross the Finish Line, celebrate with delicious pastries and fruit while sipping on bubbly mimosas. All participants will also be given a special sweet treat to take home and enjoy! The fastest 100 Male & 100 Female finishers, based on their chip time, will receive a special Thanksgiving themed award.

Top 100 Awards
The Top 100 Overall Male and Top 100 Overall Female Fastest Finishers, based on Chip Time, will receive a special Thanksgiving themed award. After you finish, please wait until it is announced that final results are verified for the Top 100, then come to the Registration Tent to receive your award!
All participants will receive a beautiful finisher medal!
All awards must be picked-up on race day! If award is not picked up on race day, you may email fit2time@fit2run.com to schedule the pick up at Fit2Run UTC, Nathan Benderson Park, Fit2Run Headquarters, or to receive it via mail. Please confirm that your award is at the location of your choice with Fit2Time Race Management before you pick it up or your award will not be released to you.
Enter Regatta Island on the south bridge (away from the Benderson Family Finish Tower). Follow parking attendants and park in the main grass fields. There is additional parking in the Homewood Suites lot north of the playground and UTC Mall which are both in walking distance.
Where do we start?
The race and kids dash begin at the Finisher's tower at Nathan Benderson Park.
Can Someone Else Pick-Up My Race Packet?
Yes! Please provide the individual picking up your race packet with your information, but most importantly, your permission to do so. Once a race packet has been picked up for an individual, we cannot issue you a new race number.
Are Dogs/Strollers Allowed?
Yes! If you have a dog or a stroller, please start in the back of the start corral. Children in strollers do not need to be registered, but must remain in their stroller for the entirety of the race.
My Shirt Doesn't Fit, May I Exchange It?
We give everyone the shirt size they registered for - No Exceptions. If you would prefer a different size, please bring your shirt to the orange Big Bill Foundation tent and after everyone else has picked it up, you may exchange it for any other available size.
My Child is Signed Up For The 5K, Can They Run the Kids Dash?
Yes! But if they are only signed up for the Kids Dash, you would need to purchase a registration for them to do the 5K.
When Will Any Shoe Winners Be Announced?
Any shoe winners will be announced during the post-party ceremony.
What Do I Do If I Misplace My Race Bib?
Please go directly to the Information Tent/Registration Tent and we will gladly cancel your misplaced bib number and issue you a new one.
What time should I get there?
We recommend arriving early, starting at 6:30 AM, to get the closest parking possible (parking is free). Parking is first come first serve.
I misplaced my/found someone's keys/wallet/phone/something else. Where should I go?
Please come to the DJ tent to ask for your item.
Participant safety is our number one priority, so please make sure to listen to all announcements made by the DJ and race staff. Please keep headphones at low volume for your safety and that of those around you. If you have a medical emergency, please notify a Fit2Time team member or Volunteer immediately.
We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to inclement weather will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.
Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
Pre-race cancellations for extenuating circumstances will be dealt with on a case by case basis. All cancellations are subject to a $5 service fee per transaction, as well as the original processing fee paid. All requests for cancellations and refunds must be received at least 14 days prior to race day to be considered. Thank you for understanding.
If you are worried about cancellations, please consider purchasing the Race Roster race insurance at checkout.
