FAQ:
NO PETS allowed.
NO REFUNDS: You are welcome to contact us to change your registration to another person if you are unable to attend the race for any reason, but no refunds will be issued.
Strollers are welcome.
Fun Run Distance: It is 'almost' a 5K at 2.78 km (just 0.32 km short of a full 5K distance)
Please self-regulate at starting line; if you are walking or have a stroller, please start towards the back so runners trying to get their best time can start first.
Zoo discounts valid only on race day.
The Fun Run is 100% in the zoo, after crossing the finish line all participants will exit the zoo at the east entrance. Show your race bib at the ticket window for half off admission, and to get your wristband for half off rides the day of the race.

All race participants will receive a finisher medal and half off zoo admission and half off rides the day of the race.
Race Day Fun
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Stop by the Giraffe barn! All zoo guests will have a unique opportunity to meet our Giraffes! Team members of Save Giraffes Now will be outside the Giraffe barn to talk about all the amazing conservation projects they are working on across Africa. Our Zookeepers and staff will also be there to give guests the rare opportunity to purchase lettuce to feed these amazing creatures and cross the public barrier to enter a 'zookeeper only' area to feed our Giraffe with nothing but a single log separating you! Lettuce will be available to purchase for $25 per lettuce. Your purchase includes entrance into the 'zookeeper only' area with up to 4 people for a once in a lifetime photo opportunity to stand next to one of our amazing Giraffes! We will have staff available to take pictures or video on your device to capture this amazing moment. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to Save Giraffes Now to support the amazing conservation work they are doing all across Africa. **You may get Giraffe drool on you during this up close and personal opportunity, but know that it comes from our giraffe with love and appreciation for your support!
9:00 am - 5:00 pm: Race participants can enjoy half off rides all day on race day. Just check in at the ticket window for half off admission and to get your special half off ride wristband. Valid for race participants only, on Saturday November 2nd 2024 only. Last zoo admission is 4:30 pm.
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Visit our silent auction table outside the Giraffe barn to bid on zoo family 4 packs, animal encounters, gift baskets, and more! You must be present in the zoo to win. (cash and credit card accepted)
