Ten years ago, I heard the words that changed my life: “You have breast cancer.” After a double mastectomy in 2015, I consider myself lucky—lucky to have had access to care, lucky to still be here, lucky to be alive. But too many others weren’t as lucky. That’s why my team, walks to raise funds for research, support, and hope—so that one day no one has to hear those words again.
