My Story…
Riding for a Cure: Support My Valley Gran Fondo Fundraiser
Hello friends and colleagues,
It’s time to get back in the saddle! This year, I’m taking on a new challenge—the Valley Gran Fondo on June 8, 2025—to support the BC Cancer Foundation and help advance life-saving cancer research and care.
Cancer has had a profound impact on my life, including my mom’s journey with the disease. I ride not just for her, but for the many people—friends, family, and colleagues—who have faced cancer.
Each pedal stroke is a commitment to creating a future where the words "you have cancer" don't instill the fear and uncertainty that they still do today.
The BC Cancer Foundation is leading groundbreaking initiatives in immunotherapy, pediatric cancer research, and expanding access to care. Every day, their work helps people get the treatments they need, improves survival rates, and gives families more time together. Your support makes that possible.
My goal is to raise $5,000 by June 8, and I’d love your support. Every donation, no matter the size, directly funds innovative research, patient care, and treatments that change lives. These funds will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and providing more and more people with an Ordinary Day.
This mantra of an Ordinary Day became something that drove my Mom in her battle with cancer. The song Ordinary Day by Great Big Sea became her cancer anthem that got our family through some very tough times. When my family rides together, we still sing together and chant "Way Hey Hey!" to check in on the road.
🚴 Join me in making a difference!
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your generosity and encouragement keep me moving forward!
Way Hey Hey!
Aaron
