My Story…
Over the past two years my teams at BC Cancer have supported the coordination of travel and accommodations for specific patients to access their cancer care. I have gained a deeper appreciation of the financial burden and stress some patients face when they have to travel away from their communities to ensure timely access to their cancer treatment.
The Patient and Family Counselling Department at BC Cancer Abbotsford supports patients in a multitude of ways, one being offering assistance related to patient travel.
All funds raised by the "A Team" at BC Cancer Abbotsford will directly support the Patient and Family Counselling Department and patients at that centre.
