Riding for a Cure: Support My Valley Gran Fondo Fundraiser For the BC Cancer Foundation
Hello friends and colleagues,
It’s time for me to get back in the saddle! Yes I am still riding and fundraising!
This year, I’m taking on a new challenge—the Valley Gran Fondo on June 8, 2025—to support the BC Cancer Foundation and help advance life-saving cancer research and care. Its a 120 kilometer ride in the Fraser Valley that I have been training over the past month for.
Cancer has had a profound impact on people very dear to me, including my Mom, my Aunts, my Uncle, close family members, former patients and my friends.
Each pedal stroke is a commitment to creating a future where the words "you have cancer" doesn't immediately instill the fear and uncertainty that they still do today.
The BC Cancer Foundation is leading groundbreaking initiatives in immunotherapy, pediatric cancer research, and expanding access to patient care. Every day, their work helps people get the treatments they need, improves survival rates, and gives families more time together and hope. Your support makes that possible.
My goal is to raise $5,000 by June 8, 2025 and I’d love your support. Every donation, no matter the size, directly funds innovative research, patient care, and treatments that change lives. These funds will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and providing more and more people with an "Ordinary Day".
So Team Way Hey Hey rides again, still alive in 2025!
This will be my 15th year and my 20th ride for cancer fundraising.
