Can I bring a dog on the course?
Service animals are the only animals permitted on course. Participants will need to provide accreditation for this service dog prior to being admitted onto the course.
Will Strollers be permitted on the course?
No, strollers will not be permitted on any of the courses (5K, 10K, 21.1K)
Will there be water at the finish Line?
Yes, there will be water and gatorade available to all runners at the finish line.
Will there be Water Stations?
Yes, there will be 5 water stations throughout the half marathon, 2 available to those runners taking part in the 10K and one water station available for those participating in the 5K walk/run.
Will there be food at the finish line?
Yes, there will be fruit and granola bars available to all runners at the finish line.
Will there be washroom facilities available?
Yes, there will be (3) portable toilets available at the starting line (555 Riverview Dr.) and there will be 2 out on the course for the half marathon runners. There will be maps available to runners at the time of registration with a more detailed location as to where the washrooms will be located.
Is there an age minimum requirement for participants?
Yes, participants under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the race.
Is there a course time limit for the races?
Yes. The course needs to be clear of runners and walkers by 12 noon on the day of the event.
Where do I pick up my bib for the races?
You will be able to pick up your bib on the day of the event Sunday, September 21st, 2025 from 7am-8am in the registration area.
If the race is cancelled due to severe weather, will we be refunded our entry fee?
Registration fees are non-refundable.
Can I get a refund if I register and then cannot attend the event?
Registration fees are non-refundable.
What are the processing fees that are charged with my registration?
Race Roster collects a fee on all transactions (processing fees) as this is an industry standard. Their team assists our event from beginning to end, and this fee allows them to provide meaningful customer support to all participants, covers merchant costs of processing the transaction, the technology costs of developing an online registration platform, includes event cancellation protection for participants in the case of an emergency, and ensures that the online race experience is seamless for all.
We understand that some people are not familiar with where these fees are spent, and may think they are an irrelevant added cost, though without them, we would not be able to host the event.
Will the events be timed?
Yes. The 21.1K, 10K & 5K events will be timed by WRACE.
What does the Enhanced Refund Protection Offer?
Race Roster’s Enhanced Refund Protection Program is third-party Refund Protection insurance that covers athletes for specific refundable reasons such as injury, sickness, and other situations as documented in the Refund Protection Program’s terms and conditions.
Where will parking for the event be?
There will be ample, free parking at 555 Riverview Drive, Chatham, Ontario (Enbridge parking lot).
Can I wear a hydration pack on the course?
Yes – Hydration packs, handheld water bottles and/or hydration belts are allowed on the course.
Can I wear headphones?
We strongly discourage the wearing of music devices. Participants must be alert to their surroundings and able to hear medical emergency vehicles, motorcycles, buses, and official marathon vehicles. For your safety and the safety of those around you, we strongly urge you to run headphone-free.
Can a family member/friend/pet cross the finish line with me?
No, our course and finish line are closed to all non-participants. We share in the joy of your accomplishment as you near the finish line. But for your safety and the safety of fellow participants, we ask that you refrain from running in with others who are not part of the race.
