The 2025 Dartmouth Natal Day Races are Fully Sold Out! Our cap of 1,200 participants has been reached and no additional entries will be offered to those who did not register.
Our race committee members will be very busy over the weekend making final race day preparations and cannot respond to your requests for entry.
Welcome to the 119th Edition of the Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races.
The Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races will be held on Monday August 4, 2025.
Our race is a long time tradition of the Natal Day weekend and is one of the oldest road races in North America.
Competitive runners, recreational runners and walkers are all encouraged to participate. We take pride in being a fun and affordable event for the entire family.
The race will start and finish at Christ Church on Ochterloney Street and follow a 2 mile loop course around Sullivan's Pond & Downtown Dartmouth. (The 2025 course has been modified to avoid construction on Alderney Drive)
Both races distances, 2 miles and 6 miles are on the 2025 Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series and the 6 Mile is also on the 2025 Run Nova Scotia Performance Series.

Much of the course is open to traffic but is well controlled by police and course marshals for your safety.
After 9:30 AM we may lose some police support and traffic will be heavier as the number of participants on the course declines.
If it will take you more than 1 hour to complete the course, please keep to the side of the road and be cautious, particularly for the last mile from the water station to the finish line. The finish line will remain open until at least 9:45 AM.
Race Course Rules
Participants should make their way to the start line 10 minutes prior to the start time.
Please consider your expected pace and place yourself accordingly. Not everyone can be at the front.
Please keep as close to the right side as possible to allow faster runners to pass.
Dogs are not permitted on the course, with the exception of certified service dogs. They are welcome as spectators.
If you are running the 2 mile race, cross to the left side of the road as you approach the finish line.
If you are running the 6 mile race, keep to the right as you pass the finish area after laps 1 & 2 and move to the left side as you approach the finish line on your 3rd and final lap.
For our 2025 race, the route will be slightly adjusted due to ongoing construction.
