My Grandfather was a resident at Hospice for 10 days during which time our family was offered nothing short of on-going support, grace and opportunity. The opportunity to spend as much time as we had left together listening to music, having meals together, visiting, remembering, laughing and crying. The space was warm and welcoming, equipped with all modern amenities - my Grandpa’s so-called “studio apartment”. Beyond that Hospice offered an alternate lens for looking at death. What had felt like the end of a chapter actually began the celebration of a life well-lived! I believe that Hospice offered our family a peace of mind that we would not have found elsewhere. In fact, I believe the care provided at Hospice (to resident and extended family alike) is subpar to none. What a gracious gift to have a space like Hospice in our community. What a gift to offer a space where you don’t have to fit in and the time you have left is available to use any way you see fit. Thank you!
