Race Day Instructions - Moon Valley MILE on Saturday September 27th

Packet Pickup is on:
- Wednesday, Sept 24 at Starbucks (N 7th St and E Thunderbird Rd) from 10AM-3PM
- Thursday, Sept 25 at Road Runner Sports (Mayo Blvd & Scottsdale Rd from 3PM-7PM
- Friday, Sept 26 from 3PM - 6PM at XOLO Restaurant in Shaw Butte Plaza, SW Corner of N 7th St & E Thunderbird Rd in Phoenix.
- OR pick up your packet on Race Day, Sept 27 beginning at 5:45AM at the MILE (see Instructions below).

The goal is for you to have a FUN and a GREAT running or walking experience - one that you tell your friends or company about and convince them to join you in running or walking or becoming a sponsor next year! Do your best on Saturday!
NOTE: Westbound Coral Gables Dr will be closed from 7th St at N. 4th St.!
Directions: VERY IMPORTANT!!
Arrive from Loop 101, Union Hills, Bell, or Greenway Pkwy to N 7TH AVE. Take N 7TH AVE south to W. Coral Gables Dr and turn left (east).
OR Take W. Thunderbird Rd to W. Coral Gables Dr. – You can’t drive west on Coral Gables from 7th St.
Parking at:
- Mountain Sky Junior High on N 7th Ave & Greenway Pkwy
- St Paul's Church on W Coral Gables Dr
- LDS Church on W Coral Gables Dr
- Lookout Mountain Elementary on W. Coral Gables Dr.
Please drive safely as it will be dark at 5:45AM when Race Day registration starts.
Instructions: Race Day registration and pre-registered packet pickup is located in Lookout Mountain Elementary School parking lot (15 W Coral Gables Dr, Phoenix - a 1/4 mi East of Moon Valley Park in Phoenix) and starts at 5:45AM! *******
Please arrive accordingly as the Citizens MILE will start promptly at 7AM. Pre-Race announcements begin at approximately 6:40AM with the National Anthem at 6:50AM.
Women’s Elite race starts at approximately 7:30AM. Elite Men’s race at approximately 7:40AM.
Port-a-Potties will be located on N Moon Valley Dr just SOUTH of the Start Line at N Moon Valley Dr and E Coral Gables Dr. Please respect the grounds of the places that allow this race to happen. Plenty of Port-a-Potties should be available just South of the Start Line on N Moon Valley Dr and E Coral Gables Dr. There are also bathrooms at Moon Valley Park.
No dogs, please.
B-Tag timing provided by Raceplace Event Systems. Chip is ON the bib!! No hassle!!

- Shadow Mountain High School Drumline is scheduled to perform.
- Shadow Mountain High School Air Force JROTC/Color Guard is scheduled to present our Nation's colors at approx. 6:50AM!
- Post-race refreshments provided by Jaydie Lynn King Foundation.
The Women’s and Men’s Elite Races will have exciting finishes. These runners are FAST – don’t miss their dramatic finish – about 7:35 and 7:45.
Awards will begin at approx. 8 AM. PLEASE STAY FOR THE AWARDS.
We have fabulous awards as will be the custom of the Moon Valley MILE.
