Registration Opens May 5, 2025!
Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host the 2nd Annual Live Like Laken 5K Run/Walk on October 25, 2025 at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA. The purpose of this 5K is to raise money for The Laken Hope Foundation, Inc. which supports existing organizations that promote safety awareness for women, aid, and tuition assistance for nursing students and children’s healthcare. These were all causes that Laken felt strongly about, and she held near and dear to her heart. Laken Riley was a student at Augusta University after attending UGA, where she was studying to become a nurse. Laken’s untimely death was avoidable and tragic. Our ultimate goal is to promote safety awareness and prepare women in the event they are ever in danger. We will be handing out safety products and providing information centered around programs that champion safety awareness. Thank you for everyone’s continued love and support. The Live Like Laken 5K is a certified race for The Atlanta Journal & Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Packets will include bib, t shirt (while supplies last), Laken Hope Foundation merchandise, CRPA swag, and more from sponsors and vendors.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION: We will be offering Day of Registration at the event. Please arrive at Hobgood Park with enough time to register and warm up before the race start time at 8:00 am. Registration will start at 7:00 am.
You will get a packet filled with your chosen t-shirt while supplies last, running bib, and other goodies.

Overall Male and Female Winner
WEATHER: This race will be rain or shine, unless our elected officials think conditions are unsafe for patrons.
VOLUNTEER: Sign up to Volunteer by pressing the "Volunteer" button on this main page. Volunteers should arrive at 6:45 am on race day for assignments.

- There are NO refunds for this race if you did not enroll in the Refund Protection Program. Click here for transfer instructions.
- Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
- Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
