Algoma Shanty Days 5K Run/Walk

The Algoma Shanty Days 5K is a fun-filled family event The 5K includes a start and finish right behind the Robert Ray Gallery. You’ll race in front of the Von Stiehl Cider Bar, past the historic Von Stiehl Winery, run over the Second and Fourth street bridges, be sure to look right to catch a glimpse of the last remaining shanty’s! You will then run by CTI Hospitality Building, hang a left and head up to Perry Field. You will pass the Arts and Crafts vendors, run thru the neighborhoods and then hang a Right and then a Left to head up the hill to the Algoma High School. There is a quick out and back just past the water stop and from there it is smooth sailing as you travel downhill along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline to the finish.

Kids SuperHero Run

Be sure to have your cameras ready for one of the funnest Kids SuperHero Run around! The kiddos will be running with some of their favorite SuperHeroes like SuperMan, Spider Man, BatMan, IronMan, BatGirl, SuperWoman, to name just a few! This is a half mile run and YES parents can run with your kiddos!
