Pie Day 5K

Calling all runners and walkers for the SWEETEST RACE of the year!

We're going to get our steps in before we treat ourselves to the best pies in Arkansas!

This year's Pie Day 5k is sponsored by our friends at BANK of CAVE CITY!

Stearns Racing is once again providing a top-notch race experience with official timing.

The race begins at 9:00 am followed by the start of the Arkansas Pie Festival at 10:00 am.

Race check-in opens at 8:00 am. Participants meet at the former Village Service Station (1 Santee Drive) at Cherokee Village Town Center located across the street from City Hall and the Pie Festival location.

Race entry is $30 and includes a Pie Day 5k t-shirt, goodie bag and Pie Festival ticket ($10 value). Registration day of the event is $35 and a t-shirt is not guaranteed.

Why pie? Pie is one of the most beloved southern foods.. It is connected to some of our most nostalgic memories of home, family, holidays and those special moments around to the kitchen table. Simply put - who doesn't love pie?

The Arkansas Pie Festival will savor this much-loved food by hosting a competition between pie bakers from across the state. Commercial, home chef and student bakers will compete to be crowned the best pie in Arkansas. Bakers are also competing for the "Golden Ticket" to participate in the World Food Championship Dessert Competition.

Festival-goers get to sample more than 10 different pie flavors, enjoy live music, a kids zone with bounce houses, food trucks, the Pie Eating Contest, Cutie Pie Pet Parade, shopping at the Arkansas Pie pop up shop and charity pie auction.

Festival proceeds will support STEAM (Science, technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) programming and education through the community's spring river innovation hub.
