RACE BIB PICK UP
Race bibs can be picked up on race day (August 7th) at the race site ( Wards Island) anytime after 4 pm
If you would like to avoid the line up (and there will be one) you can pick up your race bib at The Runners Shop Monday August 4th thru Wed August 6th. 10 am-6pm

PARKING
If we know one thing...we know that the city is a disaster as far as driving is concerned. Even famous hockey players and big bosses have had to surrender, and walk. So if you are driving give yourself lots of time and then give yourself some more. Take the better way if you can (TTC) I have no recommendations as far as parking is concerned. Try Green P:-)
FOOD
- Your race registration includes the BBQ
- If you purchased an extra meal ticket it will be stapled to your bib
- If you need a pre-race snack The Island Cafe will be open until 8:30 pm. They are licensed.
- BRING A PICNIC BLANKET!! There are no tables and chairs. Weather forecast looks perfect for a picnic.

Our "Champions Club" after school program is a combination of running, reading and leadership skill building, culminating with a 5k race. All of the children are given free running shoes and books. Your donations help us make that happen!
A running, reading and leadership program for kids
Founded by Canadian Olympian and long time Canadian women's marathon record holder Silvia Ruegger (February 23, 1961 – August 23, 2019). Silvia's vision for seeing transformational change led to her creating the charity Hopes Rise, before passing away from cancer in August. Audacious hope, which fuelled Silvia’s Olympic dream and the birth of the Running & Reading Club, fuels the dream to see all children in Canada hopeful about their future and equipped with the skills and qualities they need to flourish and be leaders in their community and nation. The Runners Shop is committed to playing an active role in keeping Silvia's dream of a bright future for all children alive.
